Alexander Wang will replace Nicolas Ghesquiere as Creative Director at Balenciaga. After a 15 year run and legendary brand revival, today (November 30, 2012) is Ghesquiere's last day.

Balenciaga will now be lead by the design school drop out and New York favorite.
Wang's androgynous, futuristic creations currently pepper the streets of every major
city via the street style elite. No doubt, his contemporary approach to design will require some adjusting to maintain the house's historic modern vibe left behind by Ghesquiere.

When two worlds this pretty collide, it can only mean great things. Also, footwear in 2014 is going to be out of control.
